Artificial Linguistic Internet Computer Entity (A.L.I.C.E.) is an award winning artificial intelligence chat robot. While chatting with her you will feel as if you are talking to a real person.

Actually A.L.I.C.E. was influenced by another original chat robot ELIZA. ELIZA chat program was developed by Joseph Weizenbaum between 1964 and 1966. ELIZA was implemented using simple pattern matching techniques and was one of the first chatterbots in existence.
A.L.I.C.E. has been developed by Richard Wallace. He started the development of the program in 1995. They have kept its name as Alice because the computer that ran the first version of the software was called Alice. You can chat with A.L.I.C.E. here.
